Behind Closed Doors… This is our “Summer Door Behind Closed Doors…

This is our “Summer Door.”
We use this side of the house to access the beach and outdoor showers throughout summer, but once the weather turns in fall and we shut off our outdoor water for the season, we lock it up until summer comes again.

Our laundry room sits behind this door. These two areas function as a well-oiled machine during summer months - they’re typically busy and messy, so I’m sharing pics of those rare moments when our laundry room and outdoor showers aren’t buried under wet towels and swimsuits. (The stainless steel drawers are actually refrigerators stocked with cold drinks - having them here minimizes sand and wet towels being dragged through the house.)

This week, despite the cold wind and rain, we turned the outside water back on and opened this door.
In a defiant act of hope…I gave winter the middle finger🤭.
Time to restock the laundry cupboard with fresh towels and products, wash away the gunk from the showers, and turn the page!

As the Seasons Change… The chore of doing dishe As the Seasons Change…

The chore of doing dishes never changes, but the view as we work does. Watching the tide come in and out from here, throughout the year, is an unplanned perk to a very mundane task.

Today, I’m sharing a collection of my favorite #outmywindow pics; the changing seasons, different times of the day and in different weather. Which is your favorite?

Rainy Days… We started out this first full day Rainy Days…

We started out this first full day of Spring on a damp and dreary note, but If not for the rain, there would be no flowers.
So, my sights are set on warmer days and I’m feeling optimistic about the upcoming Hydrangea season, noticing lots of little green sprouts out there!

Is it too soon to be thinking of days like this?
